Anderson Speedway, SC
August 5th, 2011-Kyle and his Dad headed to Anderson Speedway for the Friday night race, hoping to extend Kyles winning streak. They unloaded and went out for practice, and right off the truck, the car was fast. Kyle asked for a few adjustments and lined up for the heat race. Kyle was suppose to start on the pole, but he jumped the initial start and the track officials put him to the rear of the field. He worked his way back up to 2nd place within a couple of laps, and started racing with long time friend and competitor, Cody Haskins. Kyle took the lead after a few laps behind Cody, then on the white flag lap, Cody got a good run off of turn 4, and passed Kyle to win the heat race.
Kyle started the feature in the 2nd position and took the lead going down the back stretch. Kyle led for the first 10 laps, but Cody wasn't letting him get away. Cody took the lead from Kyle on lap 12, and the two talented drivers, put a tremendous show on, for the packed stands. They exchanged the lead several times until lap #18, when Kyle took the lead for good. Cody made one last attempt at the lead, on the white flag lap going into turn #1. Kyle blocked the move and went on to win. After the race, Kyle said, "That was a great race. I hope Cody isn't mad at me but, that was the last lap. I really appreciate the great racing from him. It's fun to race someone, and not worry about getting wrecked, like the last time we were here. " Kyle is headed now to Lanier Speedway, to run the Legend and Late Model. Come out and see us.
